You're invited to celebrate the launch of the Melbourne Disability Institute. 

Established by the University of Melbourne, the Melbourne Disability Institute (MDI) is building evidence for transformation by facilitating interdisciplinary research to improve the lives of people with disability, carers and families.

Ms Karni Liddell, Paralympian and NDIS Ambassador is delivering the keynote address about choice, control and the wellbeing of people with disabilities.

Honorary Enterprise Professor Maxine McKew is the MC and Professor Glyn Davis AC, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, will officially launch the Melbourne Disability Institute.

This is a free event, please RSVP for catering purposes.

Public Transport

You can catch the Number 19 tram from Elizabeth Street in the city, or along Sydney Road if you are coming from the North.

There are accessible tram stops at Stop 10 and Stop 11. There are buses available as well, please refer to the Journey Planner link below to find the route that suits you best.

Parking

The most convenient car park is available in the basement car-park of the venue. The entrance to the Melbourne Brain Centre is on Royal Parade in Parkville. There are accessible car parks in the basement.

Metro Tunnel Works

Please note that Grattan Street is closed between Royal Parade and Swanston Street due to the construction of the Metro Tunnell and the new Parkville Station.
