Exploring organisational change ‘tactics’ for inclusive development: Implications for Australia’s Disability Equity and Rights Strategy (IDEARS)
Lead: Wesley Pryor, Principal Advisor, Nossal Institute for Global Health, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
Working in partnership with an organisation of persons with disabilities (OPD) in the Solomon Islands, the team will examine how internationally funded development projects operate and identify practical ways to influence them toward greater disability inclusion. Findings will be shared directly with projects in the Solomon Islands, as well as with broader audiences including the Australian Government and others working in the disability inclusion space.
The aim is to build an evidence base for how international development projects can better include people with disabilities, generating insights that can drive more inclusive practice in the Solomon Islands and inform disability inclusion advocacy more broadly.
